Do you think increased awareness of Islam in Western society has led many to forsake God?

I can't see how more awareness about Islam would make anyone forsake God. More awareness about anyone else's religion would never impact my relationship with God. It would only give me more insight into somebody else's religion--like maybe give me some insight as to how they think or believe or act..but no religion alters how I feel toward God. God is eternal, fixed, tried and true so speak. He doesn't change because of our understanding of one particular religion, or our understanding of anything. He is...it's up to us to find Him regardless of what one particular religion teaches. No amount of learning about another religion could dissuade me from God or my religion, because I already put my nose into every belief system humankind has ever held to before I picked the Christianity I practice. Interesting question, though.
