Winterizing a cabin?

without too much detail, what key items do you do when you winterize a cabin. lets ume it has a well and septic (indoor plumbing), propane heat and is a lakefront cabin with a dock/fireplace/etc. I might buy one, but am slighly worried about the work involved. any help would be appreciated.
