Once kids realize Santa Claus is a big hoax, doesn't that kind of deflate other Christian (or theist) beliefs?

Thankfully, I was born a smart person with some common sense. So when I grew up, I realized that those weren't lies, but simple fairy tales that our parents used to make our lives more fun and joyful. Therefore, it had nothing to do with my decision about God, which is a completely different topic.
