What do you think of this opening paragraph for a novel?

Well, my opinion honestly doesn't matter much. Everyone has their own ideas of what they think is good or bad in a novel. Some may like it and some may not, but personally, I like it. More description is needed, definitely, but it's a good start. It got me hooked, and it's quite thrilling. I'd say it's descent. You just need to work more on it. It sounds to much like a story now, and if you're doing it in First Person, you should make it sound more real. Put us in your position. Bring everything to life, describe your feelings more. Once you do that, this will be a fantastic beginning. It's a good start, though. You have talent.
