Can i change my dogs Kc registered name?

I got a new dog about 2 months ago and he is KC registered. He was 10 months old when i got him and the previous owner had picked his KC registered name and i totally hate it. I have transferred ownership of the dog to me now but is there a way that i can change his KC name or do i have to keep that now that its been chosen?
