Portable DVD/TV player. TV Reception in Canada?

I have recently purchased a portable dvd/tv player for a trip I will be making to Canada. What I was wondering was whether anyone is aware of how good the NTSC TV reception is over in Canada. The ariel that comes with the player is very small and I am unsure whether I will need to get a bigger ariel while over in canada as I am unsure of how strong the broadcast is? Thanks
